今回のホリデーのハイライトはなんといっても4日間のキャラバンキャンプです。頻繁に（月に1度か2ヶ月に1度は行くそうな・・・）キャンプに行くというShelley一家、準備に必要なもの、食べ物、セッティングなど全てお任せしてしまいました。普段は子供たちが使うという2ベッドルームの快適なテントをバイロンと私に提供してくれました。ここのキャンプサイトは3つ星だそうで、電気・水道は各セクションに配置されていました。それ以外にも共同トイレや浴室などもキレイに完備されており、海草や塩水が一日中体中にこびり付いているようなことはありませんでした。
The highlight of this holiday was 4 days caravan camping. Bryan and Shelley often go camping (once in every 1 or 2 months), so we totally relied on the preparation, food, setting up a tent etc. They offered us a 2 bed room very comfortable tent which is usually for kids. This camp site was a grade 3 (3 stars) so there were electricity and water supplied to each site and communal toilets and bathrooms were indeed clean. We didn’t have to feel salty sticky seaweeds all over the body for entire holiday.

キャンプサイトには、’煙突付き’の車に乗ったRayとSheilaも遊びに来てくれました。この時に曇り空だったことで気をゆるし、日焼け止めクリームを塗らずに5時間以上も外にいたバイロンは全身を焦がしすぎ、熱射病にかかってしまいました。南アの太陽はイギリスとは違いギラギラとしていました。
Ray and Sheila visited us by their car with a ‘chimney’ attached. At this time Byron got heat stroke as he didn’t put enough sun cream not realising the Sun was very strong above clouds. South African sun was indeed strong unlike England’s one!

海辺でのカニ取りや凧揚げ、日光浴、タイドプール（海辺にありコンクリートで囲まれて場所。潮が引けると水も少なくなります。）など、イギリスでは到底味わうことの出来ないまさに「ホリデー」です！最初はあまりにも豪快な波に驚き、巨大な波を見るたびに「津波！津波～！」と本気で怖がっていた私も、徐々に慣れてきて最後には波しぶきを楽しむことが出来ました。
Crab hunting, sun bathing, swimming in tide pool, kiting in the beach,,,,, These couldn’t be done in England. In the beginning I was chicken scared with huge loud wave and kept shouting ‘It’s a Tsunami! Tsunami!!’ but gradually got used to it and could jump into the wave

仲良しBryanとShelleyが水鉄砲で遊んでいる隙を狙って、バイロンが子供たちを砂に埋めています・・・。
While Bryan and Shelley were chasing with water shooting each other, Byron was burying their kids…..

そして極めつけは、朝4時に起きてパジャマのままコーヒーと敷物を持ってビーチへ行き、5時5分の日の出を砂浜で眺めました。美しい～～～～。
In the end, we woke up at 4 am and took a cup of coffee and blanket to the beach with pajamas to see sun rise at 5:05. Beaaaaauuuuuutiful!!!!!

こうして4日間があ～～～っという間に過ぎさっていきました。楽しかった～。とってもとっても楽しかった～。忙しい合間をぬって連れてきてくれたBryanとShelleyに感謝感謝です。
4 days have passed very very quick. I truly enjoyed the experiences here. Bryan and Shelley, you wouldn’t be able to imagine how much we appreciated you two to have taken us to the camping. Thank you sooooo much!
