F1観戦に行ってきました。本来は木曜日から日曜日までの3泊4日のキャンプの予定でしたが、Byronだけ予定通りキャンプセットを持って出かけ、私は土曜日の朝にVictoriaから朝8時の長距離バスでSilverstoneへ向かいました。
We went for a Formula 1 at Silverstone. We got 3 days ticket from Thursday to Sunday but only Byron and friends went there on Thursday, then I headed there by myself on Saturday morning.
土曜日は一日Qualifyingを観戦しました。音がすごいです！耳が痛いのでずっと耳栓をしていました。
そしてレース本番の日曜日、開始前にわくわくしながら待っていると、なんといきなりRed Arrowの飛行機が上空真上を通過しました！これにはびーーっくりです！テレビで何度も見たことはあるのですが、こんなにまじかで見たのは初めてでした。彼らのパフォーマンスは素晴らしかったですよ。今度エアショーに行ってみたいと思いました。
We watched qualifying whole day on Saturday. The sounds is so so loud! We needed ear plugs all the time.
The day of the race – Sunday, while we were waiting for the race to begin, all of sudden Red Arrow passed just above us from nowhere!! Oh my god! This was really surprising. I’ve watched their peformances on TV, but didn’t quite get it at that time. But! Wow, they were superb!! I’m now tempted to go to an air show!
そしてレース本番！大興奮です！！私たちの座っている場所は本当にトラックから近いところで、耳栓なしではとてもではないけれど観戦し続けることは出来なかったと思います。生憎応援していたイギリス人のHamiltonもButtonも、そして日本人のNakajimaもトップ３に入ることは出来ませんでしたが、初のF1観戦、思う存分楽しみました。
Finally the race began! OMG OMG!! We were so excited!!! Where we were seating was really close to the track, so I couldn’t spend even 1 min without ear plugs. Unfortunatelly English drivers – Lewis Hamliton neither Jenson Button and a Japanese driver -Nakajima didn’t show us good performances, the atmosphare was brilliant and very exciting.
レース観戦以外にも、Hamiltonと一緒に（？）写真を撮ったり、レース後のイベント会場では全選手がステージに上がってインタビューを受けていたので、Nakajima目掛けて思い切って日本の旗を振りまくりました。Byronに肩車をしてもらっていたのですが、Byronは私の重さに耐え切れずフラフラしていたようです。無我夢中の私はそんなこと全く気づきませんでしたが。
Apart from the race itself, I enjoyed by taking a photo with Hamilton (?) and attending an event after the race. There were all drivers on the stage at the event one after another for an interview, I waved a Japanese flag for Nakajima by sitting on Byron’s shoulders. Byron seemed to be suffering from my weight, but I didn’t notice at all ;-p
来年のF1はシルバーストーンからイギリス北部へ移動するとのウワサです。それどころかF1自体がなくなってしまうのではないかという波紋もあります。時間とお金が許す限りまた行きたいので、来年もシルバーストーンであることを願うのみ！
From next year F1 could be held in North England. There was a rumor that F1 itself would be diappeared….. As we would love to go there again as long as we can affored money and time, please please let F1 be held in Silverstone again!
