13 weeks
１３週目です。
It is now 13 weeks.
先週受けたダウン症の結果が手紙で届きました。週明けに病院から電話がかかってこなかったということは、結果は良かったということなのですが、手紙での確認が出来るまではやはり不安がありました。
結果は「Negative」でした。Negativeといっても確立がゼロというわけではありません。私の場合は２１００分の１の確立だそうです。
そして尿検査の結果も出ました。これは絶対に問題があるだろうと覚悟していたのですが、なんと「異常なし」。あ～、よかった～！
I received a letter from hospital regarding a result of down syndrome. As I didn’t get any phone call from them early this week I was almost sure that the result was ok, but until confirmed by the letter there was a slight worry.
The result was ‘Negative’. Negative does not mean the baby was 100% free from down syndrome. In my case there is a 1:2100 chance – which is very low.
I also got a result of urine test. This one was the one I was sure that the result would be bad, however, surprisingly it was ‘no problem’. Thank god!
これまで全てが順調に行っているので、お互いの家族に知らせることにしました。（私の母と近い友人以外はまだ誰も知りませんでした。）ただ、その他の友人や職場に言うべきかどうかまだ悩んでいます。
Because everything is going well so far, we decided to tell our families. (So far apart no one knows about my pregnancy apart from my mother and a few of my close friends.)We think it is good time to tell families but still unsure when to tell rest of our friends and my boss……
