莉緒奈は６月５日で満５ヶ月になりました。４ヶ月から５ヶ月にかけては病気がちな１ヶ月でした。まず莉緒奈と私共にノロウィルスに感染し、下痢と嘔吐を繰り返してしまったのです。子供が多くあつまる場所に行ったすぐ後のことだったので、恐らくそこで菌をもらってきてしまったのだと思います。私の腕の中でゲーゲーと苦しそうに吐く莉緒奈の姿を見たときは、もうどうしたらいいか分からずかなり動揺しました。幸い近くのNHS Walk-inのA&Eに連れて行った時には看護婦さんやお医者さんに笑いかけるほど元気になっていましたが、私の方はその時もまだかなりの吐き気と腹痛に見舞われていたので、母乳をあげている間も服用OKな薬を処方されました。しかしその翌日、なんと莉緒奈の手足にひどいブツブツが・・・！これまた変な病気をもらってきてしまったのでは！と、大慌てでまたA&Eに連れて行きましたが、これは蕁麻疹だったようです。恐らく私が処方された薬に反応してしまったのだと思ったので、薬を飲むのをやめたら蕁麻疹もあっという間に引いていきました。はぁよかった・・・。そしてその後も、夏日のような気温になったり涼しくなったりしていたせいで、これまた二人して風邪気味で、莉緒奈は元気ながらも下痢、くしゃみ、鼻水、軽い咳、私は喉の痛み、くしゃみなどなど、いまいち本調子ではない日々が続きました。
Leona turned 5 month on 5th June. It was very sicky month for me and Leona. Firstly we both got noro virus and kept vommitting as well as having diarihia. It happened just after we went to a children’s indoor play area, so probably got the virus there. It was absolutely awful and upsetting to see Leona gagging and vomitting in my arms. Fortunatelly by the time Byron took us to A&E at near by walk-in NHS, Leona seemed completely fine and smiled at a doctor and a nurse, however I was still ill with nausia and tummy ache so I was subscribed medicines which was apparently safe for breastfeeding. Then the following day I found lots of rash on Leona’s arms and legs! I was very panicked thinking she got some more strange viruses, so took her to A&E again. It was in fact hives which Leona probably got from medicine I had taken. The hives disappeared after I stopped taking the medicine. Pheww….. However, we had very changable weather lately, so we both kept having cold symptoms for a long time.

さて、恒例の体重ですが、１７週目で４５８０ｇ、２０週目で４９００ｇでした。Thrive Charの曲線に沿っているし、時々粉ミルクをあげているし、６ヶ月目からは離乳食も始まるし、、、との理由で頻繁だった体重測定からはようやく解放されました。あ～うれしい。この体重測定、最初は計るのが楽しみだったのですが、毎回の度に「何故増えない、母乳が出てないのでは」という結論しか出ず、いい加減うんざりしていました。離乳食が始まればカロリーを増やす等が割りと簡単に出来るので、一気に大きくなるかもしれませんね。
As for the weight, it was 4,580g at 17 weeks and 4,900g at 20 weeks. It is somehow following a Thrive chart as well as we have decided to give formula occationally, also weaning will start soon, so I was finally discharged from constant weight check! Woohoo! In the beginnig I was enjoying weighing her but it has become a bit frustrating as the conclution was always ‘Is your breastmilk enough?’. Once weaning starts it will be easier to add more carolies so she might gain weight hugely.

１７週目になると、もう手で掴んだものは全て口へ持っていくようになりました。おもちゃだろうが私の指だろうがタオルだろうが、なんでもかんでもパクパクとしゃぶります。
そしてこの週にノロウィルスにかかってしまったのですが、その後からなんと哺乳瓶を受け付けてくれなくなってしまいました・・・。激しい嘔吐の前に粉ミルクをあげたので、その味と「嘔吐」という苦い思い出を重なり合わせているのか、それとも精神的に弱っていておっぱいを吸っていたいのか・・・。実はこの頃からまた夜中に２度起きるようになってしまっていたので、少しでも腹持ちを良くさせる為に就寝前は粉ミルクをあげたかったのですが、それも叶わず・・・。よく離乳食が始まる頃になると夜中に起きる回数が増えるというのですが、莉緒奈はまだ４ヶ月になったばかりだし、単に母乳が足りていないだけのように思います。それにしても生後５週目から夜中の授乳は１回でよかったのに、ここへきて２回になると精神的にも疲れてしまい、それもあって風邪気味が続いているのだと思います。
By 17 weeks, everything Leona grabbs have gone to her mouth – toys, my fingers, clothes, towles and really anything around her.
She got noro virous at this week by the way, and she has started refusing a bottle since the incidence of throwing up. I gave formula just before she threw up, so she might’ve been asociating the taste with the bad memory, or it could be just she has been seeking a comfort. She actually started waking me up twice rately so I wanted to give formula at an evening feed to fill her stomach better but she hasn’t taken it….. It often say that babies start waking up more frequently if they are ready for weaning, but Leona just became 4 month at that time so she just needed more milk I assume. Anyhow, she only needed one feed in the midnight since 5 weeks old but the fact that now she needed twice again made me realy tired and probably made me keep being sick.

１８週目に３回目のワクチン接種がありました。今回はDTaP/IPV/HiBとMenCで右モモに１本、左モモに２本でした。夜になると右モモが腫れていて莉緒奈もご機嫌ナナメ。乳幼児用の痛み止め（colpal）を買っておいたのですが熱はなかったので薬は与えませんでした。
At 18 weeks Leona took 3rd immunisation. This time was DTaP/IPV/HiB and MenC, and one injection on right thigh and two on left. In the evening her right thigh was swollen and looked painful. She was very grumpy too. I had a painkiller for babies but I didn’t give her as she didn’t have any fever.

１９週目頃から、指のコントロールが一段と上手になってきたように思います。たまたまそこにあったものを掴むというのではなくて、掴みたいものを掴んでいる感じです。抱っこすれば私の洋服や髪の毛をむぎゅっ。授乳の途中などには乳首までむぎゅっ（イタタ・・）。これまではプレイマットにぶらさがっている人形にはあまり興味を示していなかったのですが、最近はそれを引っ張って食べようとしたり一生懸命１人で遊ぶようになりました。そして足の指もよく動き、だっこしているとこちょここちょと私のお腹をくすぐります。
そして１９週目後半、１人で寝返りを打ちました！プレイマットで遊ばせていると一生懸命回転しようとしているのを目撃し、慌てて携帯カメラで撮影。成功した瞬間を収めることが出来ました。その後また寝返りしようとしていたのでフィルムを廻したのですが、この時は失敗に終わってしまいました（ビデオあり）。
At around 19 weeks, I noticed that Leona’s finger’s controll improved significantly. She grabs an object she wants rather than accidentally grabs whatever it touched her hands. If I held her she grabs my clothes and hair. While feeding her she pinches my nipple (ouch!).  She started playing with rattles hunging on her playmat lot more than before. Not only her fingers but also her toes move a lot too. When I hold her the toes tickle my tummy. Soooo soooo cute.
Also at the end of 19 weeks she rolled over by herself for the first time! While playing on a playmat I noticed that she was trying to roll over, so immediately took photos with my mobile phone, but when I was preparing to film it she didn’t succeed.

２０週目にBCGワクチンを接種しました。イギリスではBCGは義務ではないのですが、日本ではまだ義務であるという理由で莉緒奈には受けさせるようにとヘルスビジターから言われていました。左腕上部にブスっと注射を一本打たれたのですが、私を含めて３人がかりで莉緒奈の体を抑えていたので、その異様な光景に唖然としていたのか、注射を差されても泣くことはありませんでした。
そして、抱っこしている間や膝の上に座らせて絵本を読んであげている時など、少し私の体から離れて顔を上にあげ、私の顔を見るようになりました。目が合うとにこっと笑ってくれます。これがかわいいったらないの！確実に意思疎通を求めるようになってきたと思います。
この頃おむつのサイズを２（３ｋｇ～６ｋｇ）から３（４ｋｇ～７ｋｇ）に変更しました。
もう一つ。枝についている葉っぱが風でゆらゆらと揺れるのを見るととても興奮し「ウーッウーッ」（大人語では恐らく「わぉ～っ」）と声を発っするようになりました。なのでお散歩はなるべく並木道の下を歩いてあげるようにしています。鹿さんに出会おうが白鳥の親子に出会おうが、莉緒奈には関係なし、ひたすら木を見つめています。
At 20 weeks she had BCG vaccination. In the UK BCG is not compulsory but it is in Japan so Leona needed to have it done. She had the injection on upper left arm. As 3 people including myself were holidng her body she seemed stunned and didn’t realise when she got a needle on her arms.
Also when I held her or put her on my legs to read books for her, she has started looking up my face, then if she gets eye contact with me she smiles. This is damn cute! She has defenitely been getting more interactive.
I changed her nappy size from 2 (3kg to 6kg) to 3 (4kg to 7kg).
One more thing. At around this time she has started loving watching blowing leaves. She always gets excited and says ‘Wooooo, woooooo’ (‘Wow!’ in an adult words), so I tend to walk under trees recently. Even meet deers or swans all she is interested in is trees and leaves.

２１週目に入り、また夜の授乳回数が１回で済むようになりました。そして初めて１０時間も眠ってくれました！これはまぐれか、それともブレークスルーか！
そして最近愛猫Tillyの姿を目でよく追うようになり、Tillyが近寄ってくると喜ぶようになりました。Tillyは莉緒奈が静かにしていれば寄ってきてすぐ側にねっころがったりしますが、ちょっとでも泣いたりするとすたこらさっさと逃げていきます。
Since 21 weeks or so she has needed only 1 feed again. And she slept for 10 hours for the first time! Is it only one off or break through!!?? 
She also chases Tilly’s movement with her eyes and gets excited if Tilly comes closer to her. Tilly doesn’t mind lying down near her as long as Leona is calm but run away as soon as she starts crying.

こちらは一生懸命回転しようとしている映像です。失敗に終わりましたが、この懸命さに感動したのと後々「あぁこの頃はまだ出来なかったんだなぁ」と思い出すためにも載せておくことにしました。
This one is when she was trying to roll over. Although it was not succeeful I uploaded it as I got emotional by seeing her effort as well as so as to be able to look it back later on.
