ザンベジ川のサンセットリバークルーズに参加しました。単なるリバークルーズではなく、もちろんサファリクルーズです。
One evening we decided to take a very lesuiry and relaxing river safari on the Zambizi.

お天気が良く、また乾季ということもあり、動物たちは水を求めて川岸にやってきていました。おとなしそうに見えるカバが水面から顔を出していましたが、実はとても凶暴な動物。川に落ちたら襲われる可能性大ということでちょっと怖かったです。像の群れにも遭遇しました。運良く川を横断している像を発見！なんともいえない素晴らしい光景です。
Luckily the weather was on our side and we had simply stunning scenery. Due to a dry season, a lot of animals were on the river side seeking water. As the water level was low, a lot of Hippos were showing there faces and an Elephant was crossing the river.

普段は動物園でしか見ることの出来ない動物を、野生の姿で見たのは今回が初めてでした。彼らのテリトリーに入っていくわけですから少々緊張はしたものの、動物園では見ることの出来ない自然な姿を見ることが出来た貴重な体験でした。
It was of course the first time to see wild animals which can be generally seen at a zoo. Having being a bit nervous to go into their territory, it was such an amazing variable experience to have been able to see their natural behavior.
